Deborah & Scott 35th Wedding Anniversary
Deborah and Scott were all set to see their oldest son get married this past September in Saskatoon. As it happened, the two of them were also celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. They were hoping to get some time with their son’s wedding photographer to capture some images of this great milestone, but as everyone knows a wedding photographer is pretty busy with the bride and groom on the big day. So it was a nice surprise when the newly married couple gave Deborah and Scott a photo shoot with Naidu Photography, just to say thanks for all of the help they provided with the wedding.
Being that they live in North Battleford it worked out well that Deborah had a reunion in Saskatoon a few weeks after the wedding. The timing was also great since the leaves were exploding with all sorts of fall colours. We spent a couple of hours together that Sunday evening where I was able to take some photos of them all decked out in their attire from their son’s wedding, as well as some more casual shots of them at a nearby park.
I am used to photographing newly engaged and married couples so it was a pleasant change to shoot a couple that has been together for thirty-five years. What was truly awesome was that Deborah and Scott still had that same spark that I see in all of the young couples I’ve shot.
Here are some of my favourite photos from our time together. Be sure to also check out the high definition slideshow to see even more images of the two of them.

Jill & Zach Engagement
Jill, Zach and I had a really hard time trying to schedule their engagement shoot. Between their extremely busy lives and the rain filled Saskatoon summer we found ourselves rescheduling the shoot over and over again. It looked like a Sunday in early September was going to finally work for the three of us.
What I hadn’t anticipated when booking that date was that I would be in the middle of installing hardwood floor in our entire house. I remember that particular Sunday looking like it was going to be an awesome day for the shoot so I knew that we wouldn’t be rescheduling again. The shoot was for 5:30 so my father-in-law, my wife who was 32 weeks pregnant, and I raced through laying the nursery floor.
And am I ever glad that we didn’t have to reschedule because the light that day was awesome. Jill and Zach live on an acreage about 20 minutes outside of Saskatoon and that seemed like a perfect place for the shoot. Their place was a photographer’s dream, and with them being the “outdoorsy type”, it was fitting to use as a setting.
In January they will be tying the knot in Maui, Hawaii with about 30 guests making the trip with them. Unfortunately I won’t be going along to shoot the wedding, but I am very grateful that I had the chance to work with this fabulous couple to capture their engagement photos.

Kelly & Bryon Wedding Teaser
You may remember Kelly and Byron from their engagement photos I shot this past summer. Last Saturday was their Autumn wedding, and here is a teaser image from that awesome day. Check back soon to see a full post of the rest of their wedding.

Rene & Clint Teaser
Rene and Clint wanted to get some photos taken of the themselves and their two dogs before the snow arrived in Saskatoon. Here’s a teaser photo from a fall evening we spent together. I just love how they are looking at each other. Stay tuned for a full post shortly.

Nicole & Jayesh Hindu Engagement Ceremony
At the end of August Nicole and Jayesh celebrated their engagement at the Hindu temple in Saskatoon. This traditional ceremony brought both of their families together as a first step in joining these two in marriage. And like almost any Indian tradition it was filled with bright colours and lots of food.
Once we wrapped up some family photos, the three of us took off to focus on some images of just the two of them. Here are some of my favourite photographs from that day. Be sure to watch the high definition slideshow at the end to see even more of Nicole and Jayesh.
I’ll be shooting their wedding on New Years Eve next year, and can only imagine the party that’s going to be.
