Emily and Theo have been married nearly two years, but never had the opportunity to have engagement photos taken. Thinking better late than never, I had the good fortune of spending a night with them in Saskatoon to capture some great engagement style photos for them. Saskatoon Photography-Sharlene Lifestyle Portraits
Sharlene is a phys-ed teacher at a Saskatoon high school who thought a photo shoot sounded like great fun. After speaking with her about the types of photographs we could do, we scheduled a lifestyle portrait session for an evening during the week. She said she was a bit nervous about the whole thing, but once I snapped off the first few shots, it didn’t take much time for her to get pretty comfortable in front of the camera. If she was still nervous, she did a fabulous job of hiding it because she looks awesome in the final images.

Saskatoon Photography-Nicole & Jayesh Teaser
We had to reschedule Nicole and Jayesh’s engagement shoot twice due to rainy weather. Tonight however worked out perfectly. Here’s a photo from this evening’s activities to give you a little taste.
Saskatoon Photography-Michelle and Travis Portraits
Travis was an administrator for a health region in Saskatchewan and Michelle was one of the nurses. A little over a year ago their paths crossed, and the next thing you know they were spending a lot of time together. I was lucky enough to spend an evening with these two in downtown Saskatoon where we were able to just let loose and take some fun photos. The shoot was scheduled a couple weeks in advance, but the weather in Saskatoon was filled with rain, and rain, and more rain. I wasn’t sure if we would have to reschedule our Friday night shoot, but the three of us lucked out and we had a gorgeous night.

Think Outside the Box Photography Workshop
I just wrapped up a workshop called Think Outside the Box that was offered by Shannon Brunner Photography here in Saskatoon. The workshop ran for eight weeks giving us a look into her studio, how she envisions her work, and as the title implies, how to think outside of the box. Each week Shannon would bring in models for us to work with, but one bonus class took us outside of her studio setting.
We all piled into her vehicle and she took us to the University of Saskatchewan which offers some great interior locations for shoots. We had three models for the day giving us the opportunity to work with each of them in different locations. Most of my time was spent with Janae so I though I would share some of the gorgeous shots of her.
